Now with summer almost to a close, it’s the perfect time to start prepping my “beach body”, right? Wrong. I kept thinking I could keep myself fit by sweating away the calories – not at the gym, but walking around New York City. It is unbearably hot and almost more unbearably thick with humidity. With that said, I’m going to be a bit more conscious of my exercise and eating habits. I’ve been far too content with days filled with carb-heavy meals and I’m ready to challenge myself. So grilled chicken lunches and long bike rides, here I come.
How do you keep your mind and body healthy during the hottest months? Let me know in the comments.
Note: these photos were the last set from my Denmark trip where, thankfully, it wasn’t one million degrees. If you were going to ask how I’m wearing long sleeves, pants, and a knit cap – there’s your answer!
