Apothic Wine - Scout Sixteen

The Dark Side (Giveaway)

Apothic Wine - Scout Sixteen

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend Apothic Wine’s incredible #ApothicDark experiential unveiling. Apothic sent me on an all-inclusive trip to California, along with fellow blogger Joe Miragliotta from Joe’s Daily. We got the chance to explore Southern California but also get to know the team from Apothic a little bit better.

On Tuesday evening, the brand took over the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA and gave attendees (including myself!) a chance to experience Apothic Dark amid a moody, exciting backdrop. Carnival games and thrill rides were open to guests, while sensory booths and tasting tables gave a little more information on the product.

Anyone that knows me well will tell you I’m a thrill-seeker. Having a handful of amusement park rides open at my leisure was absolute heaven. I must’ve ridden the rollercoaster at least twenty times. (Note: It may be best to avoid drinking three glasses of wine before you get on a roller coaster.) It was a tight race on many of the carnival games, but I walked away empty-handed.

Typically, I stick to white wines when available. However, after tasting Apothic Dark – I’ve converted to the dark side. Apothic Dark has deep notes of coffee, dark chocolate, blueberry, and blackberry. It’s like Apothic took all of my favorite things and put them together to create another one of my favorite things. The dark chocolate and coffee notes are particularly potent and give the wine a rich, opaque quality that belies the sweet taste beneath.

And let’s take a minute to talk about the label. With twisted flourishes and a scheme rooted in red and black, it’s ripe with forbidden romanticism. Between the bottle, the label and the flavor, I was absolutely sold. Being in California for the event, I was afraid I’d be out-of-luck finding Apothic Dark at my local wine provider, but good news – it’s being sold nation-wide!

As a special treat for Scout Sixteen fans, Apothic Wine wants to give you a chance to experience the “dark side” with Apothic Dark. Pour it, swirl it, taste it and enjoy it… and if you absolutely can’t wait to try it, pick it up at your local wine store – because it really is that good.

Rules time: Because this is a giveaway related to alcoholic products, it is for ages 21+. Also, all content is intended for users of legal drinking age where this page is being accessed.
