One of my absolute favorite ways to spend an afternoon is walking around the West Village and exploring some of the winding streets hidden by overgrown brush or tattooed with layers of ivy. As a die-hard fan of “The Secret Garden” in my childhood, I’ve held on to a fantastical idea that I’ll one day stumble upon my own clandestine oasis, patiently awaiting my arrival. If you’re a new visitor to New York City, taking a tour of the West Village (especially along the riverside) is an absolute must.

I spent the day with my pal – and incredibly talented photographer – Brandon Osorio, who snapped some of these photos for me. We stopped by Hamilton’s Luncheonette for a milkshake or ten. I got the peanut butter and jelly concoction… certainly wasn’t disappointed!

I opted for a super casual look, pairing light denim vest with my favorite summer chinos from Bonobos. Nordstrom carries a huge selection of items from Bonobos, but their pant selections are so on-point. You guys already know I’m a fan of Nordstrom – just about half my wardrobe is from there. I guess you can’t help it when you’re at a one-stop shop!
