Some of my favorite legends about living in New York City are that there are mole people living between the subway stations, that there is buried pirate treasure on Liberty Island, and that there are some very haunted hotels in midtown. Another is that when you move here your wardrobe immediately becomes all blackā¦ however, this one is very true.
Donāt get me wrong ā I love a colorful look every now and again. But those of you who have followed my blog for the last few years know I gravitate towards the dark and moody any chance I get. Iād like to say itās because Iām emotionally complex, but we both know New York had a lot to do with it.
As Iāve stocked up on my fall essentials over the last few weeks, Iāve been gravitating towards some unique, edgier pieces: like faux leathers, embellished or destroyed denims, and/or unique silhouettes. I recently snagged these pieces from Armani Exchange for Macyās and have been digging the David Bowie-meets-Lost Boys vibe theyāre giving off! [guitar riff]
Fun fact: these Armani Exchange pieces are actually part of a larger capsule collection exclusive to Macyās, so if youāre looking to slide into this rock ānā roll vibe (think electric guitars, lightning bolts, etc.) then you better act fast!
This embroidered trucker jacket is incredible and paired with the tee (which is one of six limited edition styles) are just a few of the incredible pieces in the capsule collectionā¦ if you want to check it out, you can find them at participating Macyās stores or on Macy.com.
What do you think? Would you wear this look?
