Last week, I got the chance to attend a wonderful brunch with W Hotels and the The Council of Fashion Designers of America in Austin while I was down for the South by Southwest festival. Recently, W Hotels partnered with the CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program to provide support for emerging (and exceptionally creative) designers in the fashion industry. I was so excited to get the chance to meet and greet with designer Lucio Castro, who I’ve been a fan of for a few years now. His modern take on sophisticated staples immediately drew me in after seeing one of his first collections.
You guys know how quirky I like to get with my clothing; I’m a sucker for anything that puts a creative twist on simple basics. This terry t-shirt collaboration from Lucio Castro for W Hotels and CFDA is pure genius – fusing noteworthy locals from Austin (the bat) and New York City (the bagel). Cheeky, well fitted, and comfortable, this t-shirt is my new second skin. I won’t admit how many times I’ve worn it in a row… because you clearly get the point.
All this bagel talk has made me hungry…
