I’ll be the first to admit: I have one wicked sweet tooth. If it’s made of chocolate or covered in frosting, I want to eat it. My eating habits haven’t changed too much since I was eight years old, with the exception of the occasional steak dinner or watercress salad. Thankfully, I supplement my terrible eating habits with a fairly robust exercise schedule… and by “robust”, I mean I have a gym membership and haven’t used it.

With 2013 well under way, I knew there were some changes I wanted to instill in my life, especially my health. I wanted to do something brief, but drastic to help jump-start my healthy kick – a juice detox. I’ve been skeptical of commercial juice cleanses in the past so I decided that if I was going to do it … I would do it my way. I’m on my first day of a five-day cleanse and so far, so good. It feels great to bring some of my New Year’s resolutions to life… not only changing my health, but also my confidence in executing my goals.
