Scout Sixteen - Philip Crangi Railroad Spike Bracelet

Giles & Brother Railroad Spike Bracelet, $70

I’m not great at accessorizing, I’ll freely admit that. More often than not, I limit myself to a classic watch or nothing at all. I’m not a ring guy – never have and likely never will be – but I can get down with a stylish bracelet. When designer Philip Crangi from Giles & Brother offered to custom-create one of his signature railroad spike bracelets, I jumped on the opportunity. The style toes the line between chic sensibility and masculine edge making it a perfectly unisex piece that wears well with almost any look.

Philip Crangi - Giles & Brothers Studio/Showroom
There are few men I’ve met that have a grittier, more relatable style than Philip Crangi. The tattoo-lover and jewelry expert has some serious talent, as evidenced by his 2008 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award for excellence in accessories. From hand-casted nuts to carefully-tanned leathers, Crangi works his own special magic in his Midtown studio and showroom. He invited me in to take a peek at his ever-expanding curious world.
