If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times… summer is by far my favorite season. Bouncing between tropical vacations, weekend excursions, and beers on my fire escape, I can’t get enough of the warm weather!

With the warm weather comes my summer uniform – naturally. I’ll always opt for denim on denim, polo shirts and shorts, or a mix of the two. For this look, I paired a crisp white fitted polo with jogger-style fleece drawstring shorts from EXPRESS and a denim vest to run around the city on a very busy Monday. Since I’m currently knee-deep in a bandana moment, I topped off the look with a vintage bandana I picked up at the Brooklyn Flea last year.

The old adage goes, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”… and I think the same can be said of summer. When life gives me warm weather, I get incredibly comfortable. That said, I can imagine I’ll be wearing a lot of sweat shorts over the next few months – just wait and see!

Would you wear this look? What’s your summer uniform?

  1. My favorite summer uniform is a t shirt with a blazer thrown over it, and paired with a pair of JCrew shorts. I like to venture out especially for dinner on warm summer nights, so that’s how the blazer comes into play.

  2. This look is amazing. I love how you layered the three pieces on top, and those shorts do look really comfortable. My summer uniform is a short-sleeve shirt, denim or chino shorts, boat shoes with no socks, and my favorite pair of shades. Sometimes I like to throw in the baseball hat or straw hats just for fun. Hope you have a nice week!
