Iāve always had trouble wearing suits. Growing up, I dreaded weddings, funerals, and any event that required me to put on the itchy suit my mom snagged me on sale at a local all-purpose store. I just never quite felt comfortable in a suit and itās a sentiment I still struggle with: Iām the casual guy and suits just feel soā¦ square. Over the last few years, Iāve learned to readapt traditional suiting to fit my casual, creative lifestyle.
Take, for instance, these classic Kenneth Cole suiting trousersā¦ when I give them a sporty cuff, pair them with a moody half-zip polo and toss in a neutral sneaker, they take on a whole new meaning. Now donāt get me wrong, I think a suit (when worn properly) is one of the smartest outfits any guy can opt for. There is a āgo get āemā sophistication to a full suit that I strongly wish I could pull off. But for now, Iām content with taking my classic suiting pieces and giving them a casual makeover.
These pieces can take any guy from work room to weekend with ease. Mix your pinstripe pants with a grey tee and sandals or match a houndstooth blazer with your favorite slouchy denim. Whatever style you choose, donāt be afraid to experiment!
