Milk Chocolate

Growing up, one of my favorite movies was Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I don’t think I need to explain how a ragtag band of kids getting to go hog-wild in rooms made of candy was extremely appealing to me. AND the poor, weird kid wins in the end?! As a very poor and very weird kid, I was freakin’ sold… take all my Monopoly money!

I’d love to say that this era in my life was the catalyst for my love of dark brown tones but, I’ll be honest, dark browns just looks fabulous against my skin tone. Golden-ticket adjacent? Sure, let’s run with that… though I can’t promise any Oompa Loompa musical numbers or candy-related child abductions (we all agree that is, like, super sus, right? Those kids just full-on disappeared.)

There are exactly 2-3 days a year where my body doesn’t sauna-sweat through a pair of leather pants. Thanks to all thing holy, today was one of those days. I ran with the blessing and paired them with this tonal Topman knit polo (similar). I’ll always love a monochromatic moment… because, like chocolate, sometimes the best fits are served one flavor at a time.
