It’s that time again. Over the next few months, in partnership with GQ magazine and GAP, I’ll be revealing the new crop of the Best New Menswear Designers of America. You may remember that the BNMDA are four designers chosen by GQ to create collaborative capsule collections for GAP’s solid menswear offering. The full collection will be released in September, but until then, I’ll be sporting standout pieces from each brand.

This month, I’m talking about The Hill-Side, a Brooklyn-based clothier filled with mixed-textile accessories and everyday must-own essentials, started by brother Emil and Sandy Corsillo. I’ve been a fan of the brand for a few years after seeing some of the wares in various menswear boutiques across the City.

For their GAP collaboration, Emil says they’ll be infusing some unique and interesting “high-quality fabrics, which could mean chambray shirts, linen ties, tweed herringbone jackets or sneakers made from blanket-striped wool.” Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing what the brothers have in store for one of my favorite mass retailers!

Check out more from The Hill-Side and shop GAP’s current menswear offering to get your summer wardrobe on lock. Ready, set, match!
