There are a lot of reasons why living in New York City is amazing, but one of my favorite reasons actually seems to be a point of contention for a lot of New Yorkers: the waffling weather. Now, like anyone, I’ll complain about 100º heat but I like that when the weather changes so often, so does my wardrobe. I like being able to wear shorts one day and a light jacket the next.
One of my favorite dressed-down casual looks for weekend activities is a pair of worn-in black jeans (bonus points if they’re a little faded) and a crisp shirt. I picked up this pair of black denim from Abercrombie a few weeks back and have been wearing them nearly non-stop. Truth be told, I actually snagged probably 4 or 5 pairs of jeans from them because they’re honestly the most perfect fit… I typically go for the Langdon, which is the skinnier/slimmer fit that I love. Paired with this amazing white half-zip linen shirt (also from Abercrombie) and some strappy sandals, these faded jeans give a little polish to a grungier-style wash.
What do you think of this weekend look?
