As most of you read this, I’ll be in the air on the way home to see my family for the first time in 13 months. That’s almost 400 days without giving my grandparents a big bear hug. It’s bittersweet to leave the City behind in such a magical stupor, but I can’t begin to express how excited I am to see my loved ones this holiday. A consistently-busy and hectic work schedule throughout this year has kept ‘vacation’ plans at bay but I’m taking the next 9 days to reprocess, relax and revitalize. I’ll be blogging from Mississippi (yes, that’s where I’m from) so I hope you’ll look forward to quite a few rural outfit posts… and a thickening southern accent.
I’m a bit of an over-zealous (read: obsessive-compulsive) packer. Everything has it’s place in my suitcase – I might even venture to say I’m a perfect packer. This is clearly at the expense of my normally-clean room, which now looks like an atomic bomb went off in my closet. I’ll save that clean-up session for 2013. Do you guys have any big plans for the holidays?
