Summer, Way Better

This summer has been a whirlwind and half. If you follow me on social media, then you know I’ve been all over the place. Being on-the-go can be exciting but it certainly has its drawbacks – namely, in the health and fitness department. Over the last few months, I’ve spent more time sitting in an airplane seat or hunched over a laptop in a hotel bed than I have in my own apartment.

My biggest problem is that I love to snack. I don’t mean that I’ll have a handful of almonds or maybe one small cookie… when I snack, I turn into some sort of insatiable Tasmanian devil devouring anything edible within a 20-foot radius. Truly, I am a snack monster. And afterward, I always feel insanely guilty. I’m always looking for healthy alternatives but most of the “healthy options” just taste gross to me. Rice cakes? You better not even suggest that flavorless filth.

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to an awesome company called Way Better Snacks. Armed with the idea that if you “begin with better, [you] end with way better,” Way Better Snacks has revolutionized the snack industry by crafting products that are not only so delicious but also offer the highest quality ingredients so snack monsters like me feel great eating them.

What really makes Way Better snacks stand out is that they’re made by a secret called sprouting. In case you didn’t know – and I didn’t until recently so don’t feel bad – sprouting is a process that naturally eliminates the outer protective layer of seeds, beans, and grains to unlock all that goodness inside for our bodies to use. Wait, snack that’s good for my body? CALL 911 BECAUSE I’M GONNA PASS OUT.

After test-driving one or two (or thirteen, if we’re being super totally honest) bags of Way Better tortilla chips, I knew I was stumbling on to a new favorite. I’ve coupled my healthier snacks with an hour of exercise/cardio four times a week, and I’ve noticed real change in my body. I don’t know if I can ever go back to my old ways (r.i.p. peanut butter Twix) and I couldn’t be happier about it. My clothes fit better, my skin is clearer, and my overall attitude has improved. This is what 10 out of 10 doctors would call a major win.

If you’re looking for a new snack option (and a way to make a change to your overall lifestyle), grab a bag of Way Better chips. I’ve been taking them everywhere with me… I even sneak them into movies to deter me from getting popcorn (AMC Theater on 3rd Avenue, if you’re reading this I’m sorry). They make the perfect complement to an afternoon at the office – but I’m warning you right now: they are deadly delicious. You will be addicted.
