Maison Martin Margiela H&M Collaboration

Maison Martin Margiela + H&M

In one of my favorite mass-market collaborations to date, the Maison Martin Margiela collection for H&M is one that’s not to be missed. Classically cool neutral pieces are juxtaposed with hyper-textured jackets, tromp l’oeil patterns and jolts of red in a way only Margiela could craft.

Each piece will also be labeled with a unique tag indicating the Margiela season which inspired it (i.e.: Pre-Fall ’96 or Fall ’01). While price-points are a bit higher in this collaboration (most pieces fall between the $120-$350 range), I am curious to see how well it performs against their previous designer collabs like Missoni and Lanvin. Bottom line: it’s a must-have collection for any wardrobe this spring. Launches on November 15, 2012.
