Recently, I was asked to review pieces from Kenneth Cole’s diffusion line Kenneth Cole Reaction. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous to test them out because so many diffusion lines (born from the parent collections of top designers) have a habit of being … to put it nicely … crappy. The pieces fall apart quickly or are so uncomfortable that you physically can’t wear them. Thankfully, these pieces from the KCR collection – which I picked up at Macy’s – do not fall in that category.

I decided to test out the collection on my way to the airport – headed to San Francisco (post to come!). The pieces are quite comfortable and incredibly affordable – two qualities I look for in what I call my “Delta Airlines look” – i.e. the clothes I’m wearing when I fly. The old Justin would schlep into airport security with ratty sweatpants and an XL vintage band tee. This is just not okay on so many levels. Cut to my current picks – comfortable separates (like this striped sweater and plush quilted vest) that don’t cramp my style or empty my wallet. Let’s be honest… I’m not looking to wear the most expensive pieces in my closet because that’s just silly (and also because I own maybe two expensive things, but that’s besides the point).

All that to say – shout out to Kenneth Cole Reaction for making some pretty sweet pieces that made my “Delta Airlines look” this go-round a complimentary one.
