The weather has been unbelievable the past few weeks. It would take an army to keep me from escaping my apartment on the weekends! If you’ve read Scout Sixteen for some time, you know that there is little I love more than a relaxing Saturday in the City. I talk about it so often but I realized I rarely give details on where my Saturdays actually lead. So here’s my guide to my perfect Saturday in New York City.
8AM – Go for a quick run along the East River.
9AM – Grab an iced coffee from Think Coffee.
10AM – Group Skype call with friends from back home.
11:30AM – Troll local vintage stores for new t-shirts and gently-worn shoes.
1PM – Brunch at Mudspot with friends.
3PM – Take an after-brunch bike ride with friends in Central Park.
5PM – Grab some cookies at Momofuku Milk Bar.
6PM – Shop for new books at Strand Book Store.
8PM – Dinner at Dudley’s in the Lower East Side.
10PM – Wine + Movies at home with my closest friends.
What’s on your agenda for your springtime Saturdays? Take a cue from Johnston & Murphy’s SS13 Collection: wherever you’re going, make sure the journey is stylish – in dressed-up comfort that’s rooted in the classics. When you find the right shoe (like these White Suede Ellington Wingtips), it’s often the only one you’ll need to get through the season in style!
