First (But Not Last) Date Night

Let’s face it… date nights can be nerve-wracking. Whether you’re meeting up with a current flame or you’re heading out for a blind date, you want to make a great impression. I was raised on the notion that “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” and – lord have mercy – I’ve kept that with me for years.

Whenever I’m headed out for date night, I always try to spruce up my casual vibe with a little more polish to ensure that if my date spot suggestion doesn’t work out, at least my personality and outfit choice will. You can only control so many variables, right?

Here I’ve paired some slim (yet comfy as clouds) chinos with a soft-wash short sleeve shirt from EXPRESS. Personally, this look can take you from a summery dinner date straight into late-night cocktails with ease.

To round out this look, I opted for clean chambray oxford shoes, also from EXPRESS. Date dressing should come easy as EXPRESS’ new collection of summer-appropriate pieces takes the mathematics out of dressing for special occasions so you can focus on making memories (or landing that first kiss… oh la la)!
