When she brought it out, I knew something special was about to happen. My grandmother almost rarely wore it; it was saved for special occasions only. Yet, there it sat on the counter – with its mouth half-open in a grin – concealing an address scribbled on a Post-It note. She took me out to the car, saying we were going on an adventure. If you were to look in my bag, you would find probably just about everything.
I load my bags with so much stuff that sometimes I feel like a pack mule or some other beast of burden. Don’t believe me?
Well, there’s the wallet, keys, eyedrops, phone, Chapstick, and water.
Then, there’s another layer consisting of miscellaneous pieces of jewelry, hair ties, a few bobby pins, and some hair clips. You just never know when you want to change up your hair or your outfit. Guys out there definitely understand what I’m saying right?
On top of all that, there’s a planner, textbooks for class, spiral notebooks, a pencil case, sometimes my laptop, and basically anything I need to survive in a forest for the next week.
Plenty of food, of course. I never leave the house without a full 5 course meal packed with me. Heehee
In all seriousness though, I do carry food with me pretty much all the time.
Naturally, I also carry with me all my hopes and dreams, as well as all my aspirations and motivations. Those things are what keep me going every day!
