Coach x KRINK Spring/Summer 2013 CollectionCoach x KRINK Spring/Summer 2013 CollectionCoach x KRINK Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

It’s common knowledge that New Yorkers stick together – the unsaid rule is: you take care of you own. New York accessories giant Coach recently collaborated with Brooklyn-based creative agency KRINK. The man behind the madness, Craig Costello (known commonly as KR) drew upon the grunge aesthetic of his native Queens in the mid-1980s. A carefully-executed collection crafted amazing results, like this amazing lock portfolio. Costello used a 30-step silk screening process to produce his signature drip effect.

As a lover of grungier pieces, I was an immediate fan. KRINK definitely re-envisioned Coach Men’s direction with this collaboration by bringing classic Coach styles onto the ‘street crowd’.

Designer: Allen Edmonds

Seasons at MRket: ”5 Millions Year”…

Why you should know them…

Aside from being one of the most storied brands in men’s shoes, Allen Edmonds is the Dr. Jekyll of the accessories world: classics with premiere cuts and cap-toes are juxtaposed against modern worn-to-wear brogues in sponged paint. The brand has been a fixture among professional men for close to 100 years but most recently they’ve made some fantastic additions for the customer that identifies more with the modern dapper swag that fashion magazines are drooling over.

Philip Crangi - Giles & Brothers Studio/Showroom
There are few men I’ve met that have a grittier, more relatable style than Philip Crangi. The tattoo-lover and jewelry expert has some serious talent, as evidenced by his 2008 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award for excellence in accessories. From hand-casted nuts to carefully-tanned leathers, Crangi works his own special magic in his Midtown studio and showroom. He invited me in to take a peek at his ever-expanding curious world. Blogger Justin Livingston of mens fashion blog Munrowe reviews Burberry Mens SS13

Burberry Men’s Spring/Summer 2013

It’s almost as if Christopher Bailey dove into the deepest reaches of my imagination and brought out the psychedelic kaleidoscopic designs of my dreams. Rich with colorful metallics and brimming with a sartorial magic only Burberry knows, I am beyond words. From heavy metals of fuchsia, purple and petrol blue to light glimmering shades of orange, yellow and burgundy – each piece resonated with a fresh (and trend-driven) vibe of the season. The classic trench even got a new highlight and it’s new partner in crime – the bomber jacket – was a sincere hit. Thus, proving that the ‘bomber jacket’ is by a long shot the silhouette of the season. Can’t wait to rock my own!

NUNC Spring Summer 2013 PreviewNUNC Spring Summer 2013 Preview
Camouflaged

Brand: Nordic Union of Camouflage (NUNC) Season: Spring/Summer 2013 What I Love: I was introduced to NUNC during my recent trip to Berlin for the Premium Trade Show. I was hooked from first glance. Each piece has an underlying sombre to them, perfectly weathered in a way you normally only see in vintage pieces. The brand has branched out into kaleidoscopic prints and blanched neutral duo-tones. I’m thrilled to see the rest of the collection. (NUNC on FB)
