I spend a lot of time complaining about winter weather and how cold I inevitably always am. But when it comes down to it… I actually love winter even though I love being cozy. But words cannot properly express the remarkable beauty of seeing millions of snowflakes cascading all around you, enveloping you in a blanket of white ice.

Many of my favorite moments during winter are spent fireside. Whether I’m drinking hot toddies with friends or cups of spicy hot chocolate with my family, fire has always played a crucial role. So when 7 For All Mankind asked me to compile my “cold weather essentials,” I immediately knew what my picks would be.

Justin’s Cold Weather Essentials:

  • My favorite book (“The Secret History” by Donna Tartt) ready for its umpteenth reading
  • A cup of my Nana’s spicy hot chocolate (similar)
  • Cozy long-johns or comfortable joggers (like these from 7FAM)
  • Enormous Knit Blanket
  • Gossip sessions and laughs with good friends
  • Board Games
  • Slice of my mom’s apple pie with vanilla ice cream
  • Indoor s’mores

This is just the tip of the iceberg for my list of fireside favorites but a great beginning. What would be on your list? Do our lists have any similarities?

So when you’re shopping for last-minute holiday gifts for your loved ones (or yourself, because duh), enjoy a special treat!  7 For All Mankind is giving you guys an additional 10% off of their winter sale items through Dec. 28th with promo code WINTER10.
